(Last night I posted my subject line as a tweet. It took me three attempt to lolcat it. For a dyslexic with bad spelling I find deliberate mis-spelling incredibly hard to do.)

I have a Dreamwidth account! I have sent off my first invite!

I am so ridiculously excited by Dreamwidth - a couple of nights ago I dreamt I got an invite code in the dw_discuss and Open ID lottery and then was disproportionally disappointed on waking to realise it was just a dream and I didn't have an invite. BUT NOW I HAVE ONE! *\o/*

I'm not leaving LJ completely - I have a perm account, and there's several non-fandom comms which I now will stay on LJ, plus I doubt everyone on my FL will migrate, but DW will probably become my primary home and I'll crosspost to LJ.

(Also, I've already given out the one invite code I had, but if I get any more, is there anyone else who wants one?)

Parker had caught Hardison updating his Dreamwidth account during some downtime, (Hardison would never admit it to the team in a million years, but he hadn't needed to steal a invite code due the huge amount of coding he'd put in under a pseudonym) and had made him explain what it was.

Hardison offers her an invite code, but it's much more fun if you steal it yourself. (It's OK though, the person she steals it from is away from the internet for a few weeks, and by the time they get back, there's more invite codes available)

Completely awesome - Hardison likes elegance in his code - and he gets a kick out of helping Dreamwidth get there. (OK, so he's he's also made sure he knows where the back doors are, but he swears that it's only for emergencies, and he's tightened security so only he can use them. After all he only messes with the bad guys now).

A week before Open Beta starts, Parker get three invite codes, and emails them to Nate, Eliot and Sophie as the obvious people (to her) to send them to.

They are all nonplussed to find that Parker has embraced the porny side of fandom. Hardison however is seriously disturbed by the thinly veiled RPF threesome PWP she's posting to a locked Original Fic comm. (He doesn't know if it disturbs him more or less by well received it is). He does however, secretly get into her long and plotty, (but also very porny) fic about an ex-private investigator and his angst ridden, but hot relationship with an actress turned conwoman.)

(I just had an argument with husband as to whether Parker writes porn or not. I contend that Parker writes the majority of fandoms pegging fic. My husband thinks that because Parker doesn't know how to flirt, doesn't know how to beguile, she's asexual, and therefore wouldn't write porn.

Poor innocent deluded man...)
